Daniel Craig Will Make a Cameo Appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII
This will probably be the closest we ever come to a James Bond/Star Wars crossover. Daniel Craig has reportedly filmed a small cameo in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.
Craig, who is supposedly good friends with Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, begged Abrams for a role as a result of his longtime love for the classic sci-fi series. No details about the nature of his top-secret role have been released, with the exception of a rumor that he will be in a mask for the entirety of his role.
"Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role - and was happy to have his name left off the posters. Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him," said an unnamed source to The Sun.
Craig will also be kept busy with an as-yet-untitled 24th Bond film. Avengers star Mark Ruffalo stated recently that he also asked Rian Johnson, who will direct a standalone Star Wars film, for a role in the iconic series.
"My email to Rian after all these years was, 'Rian, congratulations on everything you've been doing. And by the way, if there's a part in Star Wars, please, anything, please consider considering me to join you," he said.
Star Wars: Episode VII comes out in theaters on December 18, 2015.
