Syfy Picks Up Series Based on Image Comics's Five Ghosts

Syfy announced that they have picked up a series based on Image Comics's Five Ghosts, an ongoing comic by Frank J. Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham. The pilot will be written by Evan Daugherty, known for his work on Divergent and Snow White and the Huntsman (as well as this summer's TMNT, but we won't mention that).

Five Ghosts, which began in 2013 and whose 13th issue will be released on October 22, follows a 1930s treasure hunter named Fabian Gray who has the ability to be possessed by five different literary ghosts who fit into the archetypes of "The Wizard", "The Archer", "The Detective", "The Samurai" and "The Vampire" (Merlin, Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes, Musashi and Dracula). It's considered a "breakout hit" of 2013 comics and has received critical acclaim.
