The CW Orders a Full Season of The Flash
Only two episodes in, The CW is showing confidence in their newest superhero hit. As of today, they are officially giving The Flash a full season order. Originally set for thirteen episodes, the first season episode count has now been increased to twenty-three.
CW president Mark Pedowitz cited the breakout popularity of the show as the reason for the order, as the premiere was the network's most-watched series premiere ever. It was second to The Vampire Diaries in live viewers at 4.2 million, but the highest when factoring in viewers who watched DVR recordings within three days. It has also been widely acclaimed by critics, currently holding a 96% on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.
The third episode of The Flash airs tonight at 8pm on the CW.
