Game of Thrones's Nathalie Emmanuel Joins Cast of Maze Runner Sequel
Nathalie Emmanuel of Game of Thrones fame will play a prominent role in the upcoming Maze Runner sequel, The Scorch Trials.
Emmanuel will play Harriet, the leader of a counterpart group of girls that escaped from their own maze. She is the second Game of Thrones actor to be cast in The Scorch Trials, after Aidan Gillen's recent casting as the film's villain, Rat-Man. Her character is also expected to play a major role in the film adaptation of the final installment of the trilogy, The Death Cure.
The Scorch Trials, like The Maze Runner, will be based on the novel by James Dashner. Director Wes Ball will return, as well as stars Dylan O'Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Kaya Scoledario. Rosa Salazar, Jacob Lofland, and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito have also been cast in major roles.
The Scorch Trials will begin production in November, and will be released in theaters on September 18, 2015.
