Maestro vs Hulk! Marvel Announces New Future Imperfect Comic For Summer 2015
The announcements for Marvel's Summer 2015 comics line-up keep on coming. Today, Marvel has announced that a new Future Imperfect series is on its way, meaning that the Hulk is going to be getting some serious exposure next year.
The Future Imperfect storyline first came about in the form of a miniseries spin-off in 1993. During the Hulk series of the early 90's, Hulk finds himself in league with a mystical and highly powerful organization known as The Pantheon. Hulk is recruited by Agamemnon, the son of Asgardian demi-god and Thor's half-brother, Loki. During his exploits with the Pantheon, Hulk comes into contact with Maestro, an evil future version of himself who rules over a time where he has already killed a number of Marvel's most famous heroes including Spider-Man and Captain America. Those deaths are definitely teased in the cover art; Iron Man's Helmet, Spider-Man, Captain America's shield, Magneto's helmet and even Ultron's head all lay at the feet of the tyrannical Maestro.
As for the Pantheon, they're not present in the cover art, but I remain hopeful that they will be a major part of this new series. With characters like Cassiopeia, Achilles and Ajax, the Pantheon was one of the craziest collectives to be explored.
Marvel's Future Imperfect joins Age of Apocalypse, Old Man Logan, Infinity Gauntlet, Iron Man: Armor Wars, Planet Hulk, Age of Ultron vs Marvel Zombies, Civil War and much more in Marvel's Summer 2015 line-up.
