Star Wars: Episode VII Gets A Name - Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Disney and LucasFilm have finally revealed the official title for J.J Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII. It was announced today that the first entry into the new Star Wars trilogy will be called, Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

The announcement of the new name came as LucasFilm and Disney confirmed that JJ Abrams' project had wrapped principal photography.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will feature a host of cast members from George Lucas's original, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. These original cast members will be joined by newcomers like Andy Serkis, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Daisy Ridley. Very little is known about the plot of the movie, but throughout the film's principal photography, the production teams seemed to be fighting a constant battle against leaked set photos and rumored plot details. We are now just 407 days away from the biggest movie event of the decade.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in theaters on December 18th 2015.
