Arrow to Reveal Sara's Killer in Midseason Finale
Arrow's status quo was shaken considerably when Sara Lance, the original Black Canary, was killed in this season's premiere. Now, executive producer Marc Guggenheim assures fans that they will find out who killed Sara by the end of midseason:
"I've always maintained that you'd find out the answer to who murdered Sara by the end of the year," Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly. "That said, I will say that the S.T.A.R. Labs team is going to end up providing a critical piece of information that cracks open the whole case, but that doesn't necessarily happen in [the crossover]."
There are only two episodes left before the end of the year, the Flash crossover and the midseason finale. So, from Guggenheim's statements, one can only assume that the midseason finale will contain the huge reveal.
It was also revealed this weekend that the midseason premiere, which will air in January, will begin a trilogy of episodes that will serve to introduce Laurel to the audience as Black Canary. She will reportedly take up the mantle at the end of the third episode of 2015, and then the fourth episode will fittingly be called "Canaries."
The Arrow/Flash crossover, "The Brave and the Bold" will air on December 3, while the midseason finale, "The Climb," will air on December 10.
