Felicity Jones in Talks to Join Tom Hanks in Da Vinci Code Sequel
Felicity Jones is reportedly in early talks to star alongside Tom Hanks in the upcoming adaptation of Dan Brown's third sequel to The Da Vinci Code, Inferno.
Inferno follows Hanks's Robert Langdon as he wakes in a hospital with no memory of how he got there. If cast, Jones would play Sienna Brooks, a doctor who attempts to help Langdon recover his lost memories and prevent a genetically engineered global plague modeled after Dante's Inferno. Brown's first sequel to The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, was also adapted following the massive success of the first film, and the studio was in the process of adapting the second sequel, The Lost Symbol, when they switched gears and decided to adapt Inferno instead.
Jones is becoming one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. She's just coming off an acclaimed performance in the Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything, for which she has become a favorite to be nominated for a Best Actress Oscar. She's also a familiar face for genre fans, as she had a small role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Felicia Hardy, or Black Cat, a role which will be expanded in future Spider-Man films and possibly the Sinister Six movie.
