Orphan Black Executive Producer Reveals Rachel's Fate in Season Three
Major spoilers for seasons two and three of Orphan Black follow!
When we left off last year on Orphan Black, the villainous proclone Rachel had just been stabbed in the eye, an injury that easily could have been fatal. The episode left us hanging on Rachel's ultimate fate, but now executive producer John Fawcett told EW whether Rachel will survive to see season three:

"She's alive," said Fawcett, going on to say that the injury would have a profound impact on the antagonist's story arc this year. "How do you take someone like that and then f- them up? How do they respond to that? This is someone who has a ton of power, really, and thrives on [being above the other clones]. Now to be less than perfect and to have her authority and power stripped from her, that's an interesting journey that character could be on this year."
This is interesting, although hardly shocking, since the general rule of sci-fi is usually that if a significant and beloved character can be alive, he or she will be alive. But EW also said of their conversation with Fawcett: "Who will step up at DYAD in her place? You will be surprised by that answer." Does that mean it's not Delphine or Paul? Because neither of those answers would surprise me. Mrs. S. might be the most interesting choice actually, as her connection with the clone project could definitely be developed further.
The third season of Orphan Black premieres on April 18.
