Grant Gustin Warns Fans of The Flash to Expect a Big Twist in Show's Season Finale

The Flash returns to CW tonight and after the mid-season finale's Reverse Flash showdown, fans of the show are eager to find out more details on Barry Allen's arch nemesis. But with no clear cut direction forthcoming so far, there are seemingly endless possibilities for how the show's first season could play out. Fans have been feverishly concocting their own theories, but Grant Gustin, one of the few people who know what's in store for The Flash has read them all and he says there's a big twist coming that nobody has predicted correctly.

"There's a big twist that even surprised me," said Gustin in an interview with EW. "I've seen all the predictions online. No one has predicted the big twist that's coming at the end of this season."

The Flash returns to CW at 8pm tonight in 'Revenge of the Rogues' which will see Captain Cold return just as Barry is trying to train himself in readiness for another meeting with Reverse Flash. Read the official synopsis and watch a teaser for this week's episode below:

WENTWORTH MILLER AND DOMINIC PURCELL ("PRISON BREAK") TEAM UP AGAIN AS CAPTAIN COLD AND HEAT WAVE CHALLENGE THE FLASH TO AN EPIC BATTLE - Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) returns to Central City with a new hotheaded partner in tow – Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave (guest star Dominic Purcell). The duo plan to steal a multi-million dollar painting, but Cold has another agenda while in town – to set a trap for The Flash. Snart and Mick kidnap someone close to The Flash and threaten to kill them unless The Flash shows up for a battle of fire and ice. Barry tells Joe (Jesse L. Martin) he isn't sure he should take on Snart again after the casualties that happened the last time they fought. Meanwhile, Barry asks Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to help him double his training efforts so he's ready for the Reverse Flash when he returns to Central City. Iris (Candice Patton) deals with the aftermath of Barry's confession, and Cisco makes the CCPD a new shield.
