Do Avengers: Age of Ultron Toys Reveal Hulk Returning to His Non-Green Roots?
New Funko Pop! Vinyl figures from the Avengers: Age of Ultron line of merchandise have been released, and they might reveal an entirely new version of the Hulk character in the upcoming movie.
First, pictures of the new toys, which will be available in February, were released on a collector's Instagram:

Then, fan site Popvinyls.com found a photo of a Hot Topic exclusive that featured "Savage Hulk," who not only has glowing red eyes, but is gray rather than green:
Gray Hulk was actually the original Hulk in the comics, as Stan Lee originally planned for the character to be gray. He only became green as a result of an ink problem. The change was explained in the comics by claiming that "Gray Hulk" and "Green Hulk" were two different entities battling in Bruce Banner's subconscious, and strangely enough, the green entity that won more often was called "Savage Hulk." Some have speculated that the red eyes indicate a curse place on Bruce by Scarlet Witch, which may have also changed his color, while others contend that the gray version will likely not appear on film, as Hulk had red eyes in the most recent trailer but was still shown to be green.
Also, let's take a second to be annoyed at the fact that there's apparently no Black Widow figure. Because, as we all know, no one likes Black Widow.
Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out on May 1.
