Another Arrow/Flash Crossover in the Works, Plus the Return of Suicide Squad
The CW is plotting another Arrow/Flash crossover, although unfortunately, this episode won't feature an actual fight between the two heroes. It won't actually feature Oliver Queen at all, but rather Oliver's trusty techie/love interest Felicity Smoak and Ray Palmer, aka Atom, who will both appear on an upcoming episode of The Flash, fittingly named "All-Star Team-Up."
According to THR, Felicity and Ray visit Central City in order to get Ray's Atom project up and running. And considering the quasi-romantic relationships between Felicity and Ray, Felicity and Barry, and Barry and Iris, it seems safe to assume that wacky love quadrangle hijinks will ensue.
But Flash EP Andrew Kreisberg assured fans that Felicity's return to Central City would not only be fodder for shipping, but also be significant for Barry's character arc: "It happens to come at a particularly bad moment for Barry, but that's partially why we did it. The first episode with Felicity in episode four, she really came along in a time when her experience in being a part of a crime-fighting team definitely helped Barry overcome what he was facing that week. When she comes [back], he's having a crisis of conscience that in some ways only someone like she can help him through."
Arrow will also feature the return of the Suicide Squad in an upcoming episode, called "Suicidal Tendencies." According to ET, A.R.G.U.S. head Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) will return, along with fan favorite Deadshot (Michael Rowe) and newcomer Cupid (Amy Gumenick). Bronze Tiger and Shrapnel will obviously not be returning.
The next Arrow/Flash crossover, "All-Star Team-Up," will be the eighteenth episode of The Flash, while "Suicidal Tendencies" will be the seventeenth episode of Arrow's third season. Arrow and The Flash air on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 8pm ET, respectively.
