Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany Confirmed to Star in Gareth Edwards's Star Wars Solo Film?
Last week, it was reported that Rooney Mara and Tatiana Maslany were in the running for Gareth Edward's Star Wars spin-off. Now, two different sources have independently confirmed that Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany has landed the role.
Rumors began flying when Maslany dropped out of a Broadway play due to "film scheduling conflicts," and then yesterday, Total Geeks claimed that a "trusted source" had first heard that Maslany was the "frontrunner," and then that she had won the part. Today, The Mary Sue claims that one of their sources "confirmed Maslany has indeed landed the lead role." There's no word on who she would be playing, and the casting hasn't been officially verified yet, but here's our reaction if it's true:

Anyone else hoping she plays clones and has clone dance parties in Star Wars, too?
The first Star Wars spin-off will come out in theaters on December 16, 2016.
