The Walking Dead's Emily Kinney Rumored to Join the Flash as DC Comics Villain
That petition to Bring Beth Back might not have brought Emily Kinney back to The Walking Dead, but her fans can take some solace in the fact that she will be returning to their TV screens in another major sci-fi show, The Flash. According to this new photograph from Punkd Images, Kinney has just joined the Arrow spin-off as DC Comics villain Bug-Eyed Bandit.

We're going to categorize this as a "rumor" for now, as we had no idea who Punkd Images were before now and they seem to be photographers rather than a news outlet. But according to their intel, Kinney will play Brie Larvan, or a female version of Bertram Larvan aka Bug-Eyed Bandit. Larvan was an Atom villain who invented a machine to control insects, and then built an army of mechanical insects, including stag beetles who could bite through steel and spiders with webs that could support the weight of a human. We hope this rumor is true, both because we love Emily Kinney and because it would be so fitting for the wide-eyed Walking Dead ingenue to play a villain called "Bug-Eyed Bandit."
Brandon Routh's Atom is a character on Arrow, rather than The Flash, but he will be appearing on the spin-off show along with Emily Bett Rickards's Felicity Smoak in an upcoming crossover episode called "All-Star Team-Up." This has led to some speculation that Kinney could appear on this episode, as her character was never specifically a Flash villain in the comics, but this is pure conjecture at this point.
The next episode of The Flash, "The Nuclear Man," airs tomorrow at 8pm ET.
