Marvel's AKA Jessica Jones Adds Three More Regulars to Its Cast
The cast of the upcoming Marvel/Netflix collaboration, AKA Jessica Jones, has been filling out lately, and now there are three more actors added to the cast. The Originals's Eka Darville, Kings of Summer's Erin Moriarty, and Red Widow's Wil Traval will all be regulars for the first season.
Darville will play Malcolm Powder, Jessica's neighbor who will get involved in her life in an unforeseen way. Moriarty will play Hope, a young woman who becomes a client of Jessica's detective agency, and Traval will play an as-yet-unnamed gung-ho NYPD cop. The trio of actors join Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Doctor Who's David Tennant as the villainous Kilgrave aka Purple Man, Rachael Taylor as Jessica's best friend Trish, and Carrie-Anne Moss as a recurring character described as an "ally."
The official synopsis for the show reads, "Following a tragic end to her brief superhero career, Jessica Jones tries to rebuild her life as a private eye, dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City." The series will be one of four Marvel/Netflix series, starting with Daredevil in April, leading up to a Defenders miniseries.
AKA Jessica Jones comes out on Netflix in late 2015.
