Mark Hamill Set to Appear at Star Wars Celebration
Another name has been added to the list of Star Wars royalty who are set to attend April's huge Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, Ca. Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker is the latest star confirmed to be in attendance at the 4-day event dedicated to all things Star Wars. It was also recently announced that Star Wars: The Force Awakens director, JJ Abrams, and LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy would be giving Star Wars Celebration a huge opening on Thursday April 16th.
Hamill will be joined by fellow original trilogy cast members Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, all of whom are reprising their respective roles for December's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Episode VII is expected to be the focal point of the weekend's festivities and many fans, myself included, believe that Abrams and Kennedy will be revealing some big news about 2015's most-anticipated movie. Whether that will be artwork, plot details or even the first full trailer, nobody is quite sure. With Avengers: Age of Ultron released just a couple of weeks after the event, it could be that the hardcore of Star Wars fandom are treated to a preview of the trailer, which is expected to air before global screenings of Marvel's next entry into the Avengers franchise.
Other big events scheduled for the Star Wars Celebration weekend include the world premiere of Star Wars Rebels season 2, a special 3D screening of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and the first ever screening of a Star Wars movie in the Navajo language.
Star Wars Celebration will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center from April 16-19
