Will Arnett's Batman Costume From The Oscars Was More Legit Than You Think
Last night's Oscars ceremony was, in all honesty, a rather forgettable affair. But one of the show's bright spots came when Tegan and Sara took the stage to perform Everything is Awesome, their Oscar-nominated hit from the Lego Movie. In a stage production that felt like it was put together to make you feel as though you were hallucinating, the brief cameo from a bat-suited Will Arnett -who voiced Batman in the movie- was arguably the most memorable moment of the whole night.
(87th Academy Awards)
Will Arnett and The Roots' Questlove posing as a musical Batman and Robin is an exciting proposition all on its own, but shortly after last night's performance The Lego Movie co-creator, Christopher Miller, made it seem that little bit sweeter by revealing the origins of Arnett's bizarrely professional looking Batsuit.
Granted, Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but this is a legitimate Batsuit that Arnett was wearing, which means he was essentially rocking out in a piece of cinema history...
