Watch: Reassembled Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer Outlines Plot of the Film
None of us have seen Avengers: Age of Ultron yet, but one superfan has re-cut footage from the many teasers and trailers chronologically and put together a reasonable approximation of what the film will look like:
The five-minute video, made by YouTube user Johnny B2K, looks a lot like your typical Marvel movie. It starts out quiet, with a few quips and some banter from the characters here and there, crescendoes to a climax all too quickly, and then pretty much stays there for the duration (with maybe one or two more quips to break things up).
It's likely that this will be the vague structure of the film, and the reassembly brings out many new facets of the footage. For example, the creator chose to directly juxtapose Ultron's statement that he's going to tear the Avengers apart "from the inside" with his interactions with Wanda, and the assembly of all of the Hulk vs. Hulkbuster clips show that we've seen a lot more of that scene than we've even realized.
It's also disconcerting to hear Ultron's speeches get more and more antagonistic as the video goes on; placing "the only path to peace is their extinction" at the end actually gives the impression that Ultron might win, which is obviously not the case.
Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out on May 1.
