New Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Poster Teases Inhuman Connections
After taking a winter break, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to our screens next Tuesday to pick up on that huge Inhumans cliffhanger from its mid-season finale. To get the juices flowing, Marvel has released a new poster, which teases the mid-season premiere and it features a devilish looking Inhuman looming alongside Skye and Coulson.
What's particularly cool about this piece of art is that it was created by the co-creator of Marvel's Inhumans, Gabriele Dell'Otto. The Inhumans first appeared in Marvel Comics all the way back in 1965, but they're coming to our screens in a big big way over the next few years. With the Inhumans movie scheduled for November 2018, Marvel is using Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to familiarize audiences with one of the coolest groups in all of Marvel canon.
Unrecognizable from her original form, the shadowy figure in the poster is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mainstay villain, Raina. After venturing into the mysterious alien city, Raina, like Skye, fell victim to the powers that lay within. Unfortunately for her though, Raina's transformation was far more severe than Skye's and she is now hiding her disfigured face from the world by way of a good old fashioned black cloak. Raina's loss is our gain, because it looks as though Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is finally going to drop some serious superpowers on us over the course of the next few weeks.
I have already talked at great length about just how far this show has come this season, but the upcoming injection of Inhuman superpowers is hopefully going to elevate it even more lofty heights.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns next Tuesday March 3rd at 9/8c on ABC.
