Awesome Video Turns the First Two Seasons of Walking Dead into an Old-School Arcade Game
In today's installment of "Internet provides us something we definitely wanted, but just didn't know it," Cinefix has presented us with a "gamified" and highly condensed version of the first two seasons of The Walking Dead as an 8-bit video game. If the arcade version of the Walking Dead theme music doesn't make you smile, then you have no soul:

The game starts at the very beginning, with Rick leaving the hospital in "Days Gone Bye." Then, he meets up with Glenn ("Hey Dumbass. Yeah, you in the tank. You cozy in there?") and the other survivors, and zombie apocalypse hijinks ensue. There is, of course, lots of nostalgia for Walking Dead fans, and random fun features, such as a "bonus sequence" to pull a walker out of a well. (Aw. Remember the good old days?)

In addition to being fun, the video reveals that for better and for worse, The Walking Dead is a lot like a video game. And, also for better and for worse, the farm sequence makes for the least exciting gameplay, which is why they had to add a superhuman Carl and a random machine gun to the proceedings.

The video is the first in a series, with seasons 3 and 4 coming out next Wednesday. So stay tuned for a gamified Governor, Termites, and a sad "game over" sound for poor Hershel.
