Marvel Reveals 33 Comic Book Series That Will End Before Secret Wars
With the announcement that Marvel is rebooting their entire universe with Secret Wars, it was inevitable that certain comic series would come to an end. Now, Marvel senior vice president of sales and marketing David Gabriel has named 33 titles that will be discontinued before the commencement of Secret Wars.
Although the entire universe will technically end with Secret Wars, different titles will deal with it in different ways, with some becoming integrated into the Battleworld storyline, and others reaching their "616 finale," where 616 is the name of the current Marvel Universe.
"Secret Wars will affect every title in some way shape or form," Gabriel told Comicbook.com. "Some may take a hiatus for a month or two (something the industry is accustomed to); some will reach their '616 finale;' some become Battleworld transformed; and still others…well we'll get to those!"
Here's the full list of titles that will reach their 616 finale "over the next few months," in alphabetical order:
All-New Captain America
All-New Ghost Rider
Angela: Asgard's Assassin
Avengers, Avengers World
Guardians of the Galaxy
Iron Fist: The Living Weapon
Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man
Spider-Man & The X-Men
Superior Iron Man
Wolverines and X-Men
Marvel's Secret Wars officially launches in May 2015.
