Yes, yes, Disney movies are often sexist, racist, xenophobic, and contain every other terrible message known to humankind. But they're also wonderful in so many ways, and they continue to shape childhoods today, for better and for worse. And if you were wondering about the science behind the magic, Disney now has an answer for you, in the form of an incredibly elaborate periodic table of the Disney movie elements:

If nothing else, this should encourage children, and especially young girls, to take an interest in science, which can only be a good thing. Plus, it is pretty impressive that they managed to find one for Uuo, even if it is a little bit of a stretch.

They're looking for another idea to mash up science with Disney movies, and I hope the next one's snarkier. My vote goes to a Disney quadratic formula, in which each of the variables is a trope needed to make a Disney movie successful (princess with a tiny waist, villain with darker skin than the protagonist, talking animal, that kind of thing).
