Spoiler Alert! Awesome Chart Tracks All the Major Deaths in the Last Five Seasons of The Walking Dead
The season finale of The Walking Dead didn't see any core characters die (for once), but that doesn't mean that we haven't lost a lot of people along the way. Here's a chart from the Washington Post that tracks the lives and deaths of all the major characters on the show, as well as their current dead/alive status.

Creator Christopher Ingraham clarifies that he only includes those who are part of Rick's group of survivors, and does not include any antagonists, as "they're all dead anyway." He also admits that someone like Morgan is a borderline case, as he hasn't technically joined Rick's group yet but likely will in season six.

The chart is fun for any Walking Dead fan, especially when you perform some meta-analysis. Less than half of the characters from season one are still alive: Rick, Carl, Morgan, Glenn, Daryl, and Carol. (I guess he didn't want to include Amy, Jim, or Jacqui? I probably would have included Amy, at least.) Half of the surviving characters are currently women, which is encouraging, although Rick and Daryl are unquestionably the least expendable characters, and they're both white men. Speaking of which, those three sad little lines at the bottom depressingly draw attention to the show's blatant race problem. Tyreese, Bob, and Noah, we hardly knew ye.
