Ultron Avoids Supervillain Cliches in New Clip and TV Spots for Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ultron resists becoming a Bond villain in this meta-humorous new clip from Avengers: Age of Ultron:

Aside from finally hearing Scarlet Witch speak (and yes, she does seem to be doing the same Eastern European accent as Quicksilver), the most notable part of this clip was the funny meta-commentary on supervillain tropes. This exchange: "What's the Vibranium for?" "I'm glad you asked that, because I want to take this time to explain my evil plan" gave me warm and fuzzy Cabin in the Woods nostalgia. It will be sad for Marvel fans to see Joss Whedon depart from the Avengers, but honestly, jokes like these remind me why I'll be glad that he'll have the opportunity to get back to his original ideas.

And, of course, there are three more TV spots for Avengers: Age of Ultron. There isn't too much new footage, but there are unfamiliar shots here and there, and I'm starting to feel like I've seen the whole damn movie. How many TV spots is too many, Marvel marketing team? The fact that these TV spots are labeled, "Official TV Spot #11," "#12," and "#13" kind of says it all.
