Watch: Crazy First Trailer for the Wachowskis' Netflix Series 'Sense8'
The first trailer for the Wachowskis' Sense8 has arrived, and it introduces us to a world in which the characters have "seven other selves" and are "not losing their minds, but expanding them." Plus, Sayid!

It's hard to know what to make of this show, partially because there hasn't been very much information released thus far and partially because it looks plain weird. Apparently eight people around the globe have merged their consciousnesses, allowing them to pass on very special sets of skills to each other and have orgies without actually having orgies.

It all seems like pretty good fun so far, although Lost's Naveen Andrews seems a little misused, stuck with delivering the very on-the-nose exposition. This could be a sign that the show is bad, or it could just be a necessarily evil to set up a complicated sci-fi universe, but we'll see.

The official synopsis for the show reads:

Eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally... They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other's deepest secrets... Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.

All eight episodes of the first season of Sense8 will debut on Netflix on June 5.
