9 Highlights from Tatiana Maslany's Reddit AMA
The Return of Beth Childs
Not the literal return (although this is science fiction, so you never really know), but last week's episode did give fans a throwback to season one by bringing up Beth Childs, who was not mentioned nearly as often in the second season. Will we be learning more about the mysterious clone who killed herself in the unforgettable pilot? Here's what Maslany had to say:
I hope this is more than conjecture, because the Beth/Sarah connection was one of my favorite parts of season one. And nothing against the boy clones or season three in general, but we could all use more season one in our lives.
Tatiana Maslany Ships Cosima and Delphine
Maslany admitted elsewhere in the AMA that she loves portraying the Cosima/Delphine relationship, so that might motivate her answer somewhat here, but I think there's also an actual hint about where the show is going:
While she stays spoiler-free, the "their love is extremely strong" comment is definitely intended to give Cosima/Delphine fans hope for the future. This is also just sort of intuitive from a storytelling perspective, as the show has invested too much in this pairing to end it as abruptly as they did in the premiere, at least not for good.
She loves Doctor Who, but wouldn't want to star in it
Unfortunately, we probably won't see these fandoms collide anytime soon:
She knows who the toughest clone is
Helena might be the actual trained assassin, but Alison is the boss.
The Clones' Favorite Movies
The Helena answer breaks my heart a little:
A great answer for Alison as well, although I'd peg her more as an Audrey Hepburn/Mollie Ringwald kind of girl.
What genre spin-off show each clone would star in
Alison is already sort of starring in her own Desperate Housewives-esque spin-off, but what about the rest of the Clone Club?
Which Doritos flavor each clone would be
The Rachel answer is my favorite. It's so true.
She thinks it's problematic for her to play Tony
Maslany demonstrates that she understands the sociopolitical issues surrounding the transgender character Tony in this thoughtful and sensitive answer:
Just for fun
