New Fear the Walking Dead Teaser Gives Us Our First Glimpse of a Pre-Walker
The newest teaser from Fear the Walking Dead is short, but effective, and gives us our first glimpse of the show's incipient zombies, which will presumably get their own catchy name:
The creators have been insistent that Fear the Walking Dead is entirely different from its parent show, and the promotional materials seem to support that so far. This teaser, and the other short clips that came before it, have indicated that there will be more suspense than horror, more atmospheric dread than gore. Although many Walking Dead fans will be expecting lots of action, I hope the show takes its time building the sense of panic. Details like those missing posters will go a longer way with many fans than immediate zombie gore.
AMC also released a Comic Con poster that's equally encouraging:

At first glance it looks kind of plain, but the walker tracks going towards a carnival are extremely ominous. The "fear begins here" tagline may imply that the initial outbreak will come to a head at a carnival, children and all, which would be suitably horrifying.
Here is the official synopsis for Fear the Walking Dead:

Fear the Walking Dead is set to air sometime this August.
