The post is ostensibly promoting the Rogue cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past, which includes an 11-minute subplot involving a Rogue jailbreak and will be screened for the first time at SDCC. But the appearance X-Men: Apocalypse is the much more exciting news. Technically, he only said he was "hoping" to show some footage, but we doubt that he would tease that if the studio hadn't already given him permission. If they do ultimately show some Apocalypse clips, we'll have to add it to our list of the predicted biggest Hall H moments.
There's no word yet on which cast members will attend, but Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, and Evan Peters are probably safe bets, since they'll be at Comic Con promoting other projects (Hunger Games: Mockingjay pt 2, Game of Thrones, and American Horror Story, respectively). Oscar Isaac will most likely make an appearance as well, assuming that he'll be there for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel. Now we just have to cross our fingers for fan favorites like James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Rose Byrne. And maybe Olivia Munn as well, so she can show off her newfound swordfighting skills in person.
The 20th Century Fox panel at San Diego Comic Con will take place on Saturday, July 11, in Hall H. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
