DC Comics's Mercy Graves Confirmed for Batman v Superman
It looks like Harley Quinn won't be the only character born from DC's animated series to make an appearance in DC's Extended Universe. The most recent episode of DC All Access contained a detailed breakdown of the SDCC Batman v Superman trailer, and the breakdown confirmed that the woman seen escorting Zod's body was indeed Mercy Graves.
Mercy Graves is Lex Luthor's personal assistant and bodyguard in Superman: The Animated Series. She's also appeared in a variety of other DC cartoons such as Justice League Unlimited and Young Justice. It's been rumored for some time that this might be who Tao Okamoto would be playing, but now it's finally confirmed.
Okamoto is a Japanese model known for her work with Ralph Lauren. But she's no stranger to comic book adaptations, as she's best known for her role as the Marvel character Mariko Yashida, Hugh Jackman's love interest in The Wolverine.
It remains to be seen whether or not this iteration of Mercy will be the butt-kicking version from the animated series. She doesn't look all that dangerous in the trailer, but appearances can definitely be deceiving.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premieres on March 25, 2016.
