The Flash Cast Previews New Powers, New Characters, and More from Season Two
The cast members of the Flash have all read the season two premiere, and at San Diego Comic Con, they were on hand to answer questions, joke around, and generally be adorable as ever:

When asked how they would describe the premiere in one word, EP Andrew Kreisberg went with "bonkers," while Candice Patton upgraded to two words and said, "New faces." There's no telling who exactly she's talking about, although several new characters have been confirmed for next season. At the Flash San Diego Comic Con panel this year, it was revealed that Wally West, Jay Gerrick, and Zoom were all going to make appearances. Wally West and Jay Gerrick are alternate Flashes in the DC Comics multiverse, and so will likely be introduced in the second season in the context of the parallel universes storyline, while Zoom is set to be this season's Big Bad.

Kreisberg and Grant Gustin also previewed Barry's new abilities coming in season two, including a "cool new power" he learns to use in the second episode. If the show adheres closely to the comics, could this mean we'll get to see Barry pass through solid matter?

Candice Patton also confirmed that there will be more tension between Iris and her father, Joe West, in the next season, mostly as a result of Joe keeping Barry's secret from her. Kreisberg claimed that where season one focused on the Allens, the "emotional heart of the season" would lie with the Wests. Hopefully this means that Iris will get more substantial storylines than last year, in which the character was done a major disservice by being kept in the dark for the lion's share of the season.

But the most entertaining part of the video may be just watching the cast laugh and joke around together. Granted, they're trying to promote the show, but there seems to be a real camaraderie that allows for their amazing chemistry. Just watch how cute they all are when Kreisberg forgets that the SDCC panel already revealed Barry's costume change for season two.

The Flash returns for its second season on Tuesday, October 6 at 8pm on The CW.
