New Fear the Walking Dead Featurette Gives Up Close and Personal Look at a Zombie
We caught small glimpses of full-fledged zombies (or "the infected," as they're called in this zombie-less universe) in the SDCC trailer for Fear the Walking Dead, but this is the best up-close look we've gotten at one of the freshly dead undead so far:

According to the early reviews, the zombie appears during the unsettling first sequence, in which drug addict Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) has a run-in with a zombie while on a bender, and then has no idea whether the zombie was real or a hallucination. The few zombies we see in this featurette look more like a traditional zombie than the disgustingly decomposed Walking Dead walkers. In the video, executive producer and make-up artist Greg Nicotero says that the zombies in Fear the Walking Dead are "fresh turns" who "don't have the same decomposed for a year-and-a-half look" as the zombies in the parent show.

The executive producers preview several other elements of Fear that distinguish it from The Walking Dead, such as the urban setting, which is located in the less wealthy East side of Los Angeles, and the family drama that is intimately connected to the apocalyptic hijinks. For my part, I find that the main draw is the prospect of watching civilization fall apart, as we skipped that part in The Walking Dead entirely. "We're getting the chance to experience how society unravels," said showrunner Dave Erickson.

Opening quote
"In many cases the infrastructure becomes a trap in itself," said EP Gale Anne Hurd. "How the things we thought we could rely upon, the police, other people, even, maybe they're not who we thought they were."
