Zach Galifianakis to Voice The Joker in Warner Bros.' Lego Batman Movie
The Lego Joker has found his voice. Zach Galifianakis, the man who brought us 'Between Two Ferns' and 'The Hangover's' Alan is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros. to take up the role of the Crown Prince of Crime for the spin-off from last year's The Lego Movie.

According to THR Galifanakis is close to sealing a deal to star alongside Will Arnett's Batman in the 2017 release. Phil Lord and Christopher Taylor are producing the movie along with Dan Lin (The Lego Movie, Sherlock Holmes), while Michael Cera recently signed on to voice Robin.

Galifianakis would certainly seem like a good fit for the role, bringing just the right level of nuttiness to bring DC Comics' most-iconic villain to life. Interestingly, Galifianakis will get a chance for an insight into the DC Comics world when he stars along Gal Gadot in Greg Mottola's 2016 movie, 'Keeping Up With the Joneses'. Gadot is set to kick off a multi-movie series with Warner Bros. and DC Comics next year as she gets set to take up the mantle of Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Galifianakis's appointment as the Joker would be only the third casting announcement on the project so far, although it is expected that every single actor who has played Batman, from Adam West to Ben Affleck, will be given a guest role on the movie.
