Purported Description of Captain America: Civil War D23 Footage Comes Online
While there will be no new Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage shown at Disney's D23 Expo this weekend, it is widely expected that the House of Mouse will give fans the first look at 2016's Captain America: Civil War. With production having been underway for around 3 months now, the Russo Brothers and their team have probably had enough time to put together a rough teaser for the movie, but as to what that teaser would contain, nobody's quite sure. Now, a user on Reddit claims to have seen the footage, and they've given a reasonably detailed description of what they saw.

Before we continue, let's all just remember that this is just a random internet person claiming to have seen something while offering very little proof. But, let's just humor them for now. Spoiler warnings from here on in.

Opening quote
The footage begins with General Thunderbolt Ross taking about registration act. It then cuts to a military team repelling down a building. We see a snowy forest. We see someone's arm being injected. Close ups of Black Widow, Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch, War Machine Fighting Wanda General Ross says "You either sign yourself over or this is your last stand!" We hear Captain America "We won't stand for this!" Then Iron Man says "Then let's fight!

That dialogue seems a little forced if you ask me. It's hard to imagine lines as wooden as "Then let's fight!" being uttered by a man as witty as Tony Stark, but we'll suspend belief just for now. What comes next is a description of a scene so chaotic and action-packed, it's hard to imagine the post-production team having time to put it all together.

Opening quote
We see a skyscraper explode Captain America and Iron Man fight in a baseball field. We see Bucky hanging onto a helicopter. Black Widow and Falcon fighting. We see Black Panther fight Captain America. Close up of Crossbones We see a closeup of someone's legs walking (Baron Zemo) "You think your world can survive?" Says Zemo "Let's Find Out" says Spider-Man We see a close up of Spider-Man fighting Baron Zemo (FAST FIGHTING MONTAGE) Vision destroys a helicopter. Hawkeye zip lining between buildings Ant-Man punches Vision.

We see Crossbones and Captain America fight. "Everything you fought for will come crumbling down" says General Ross. We see Martin Freemans characters driving a car Iron Man shoots Captain America We see Spider-Man swinging through buildings (it's ever so brief but it looks like the suit will In fact be blue and red not black) Iron Man Punches Captain America Shield Cuts to the logo Captain America: Civil War

Ok, let's take a breath. If, and that's a very big 'If', this is true then that would be a ridiculous amount of action packed into what has been described as a two minute sizzle reel. As mentioned earlier, it's hard to imagine Marvel having the ability or desire to punch out this much action so far ahead of the movie's release date, so we should probably all grab another handful of salt as we digest that description.

Aside from the crazy amounts of action, the most-surprising thing in this description was the extent of Spider-Man's involvement. For a chap who is only meant to be making a cameo, he's doing an awful lot on screen. From the visually complex spidey-swinging to a full-on battle with Baron Zemo, we're inclined to suggest that, that's almost too much.

Still, we won't have long to wait and see if this mysterious Reddit user is correct; D23 kicks off this weekend with the Marvel Presentation scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
