Star Wars: The Force Awakens Lego Minifigures Leak Online
The Star Wars merchandise leaks continue. With a few weeks left before 'Force Friday', images of the first phase of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Lego minifigures have leaked online, giving us a few clues about what we can expect from JJ Abrams' movie.

For those that aren't aware, September 4th 2015 has been dubbed 'Force Friday', because that's the date when retailers will finally be able to sell the masses of new Star Wars merchandise that has been slowly building up over the last year or so. Everything from new clothing lines to new toys and plushes will be unleashed on the world that day, causing a scramble among collectors looking to secure the newest piece of Star Wars history. Part of this huge merchandising push will be Star Wars Lego kits, with sets ranging from large-scale vehicles to minifigs of individual characters. But just a few weeks before their release, images of the minifigures have leaked online giving us an early look at some of The Force Awakens' expanded cast.

As you can see, there are number of familiar face in among the crowd. John Boyega's Finn and Daisy Ridley's Rey flank BB-8, while Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma are joined by a host of First Order troopers. But although we can see Chewbacca and Han Solo, the pair of rogues are the only characters from the original trilogy to be included. Luke Skywalker's appearance is being kept a closely guarded secret (despite a recent leak), and the same can be said for his sister, Leia, so it may be that LucasFillm have opted to hold back some of their classic characters for the second wave of minifigures that are expected to be released after The Force Awakens hits theaters in December.

Another point to note is that Tasu Leech continues his mysterious prominence; the character of whom we know very little has already appeared on other leaked Lego boxsets, and his appearance among these iconic Lego minifigures would suggest he has a big role to play in the story.

However, one character who has been omitted is Supreme Leader Snoke. Snoke, who will be played by Andy Serkis, is widely expected to be the figurehead of the First Order movement, but other than the images of Serkis in his mo-cap gear, we're yet to see anything of the ominous sounding character. Come Force Friday though, we're sure much more will be revealed.
