Hiro Returns in Full Force in New Heroes Reborn Teaser
The original Heroes series was all about- what else?- the hero's quest, and if the new promo is to be believed, the rebooted Heroes Reborn will be no different:
The newest trailer features new characters such as Once Upon a Time's Robbie Kay as Tommy, described as an "awkward teen [who] just wants to be normal and win the girl of his dreams," as well as Danika Yarosh's "sheltered" character who is trying to ward off some kind of apocalyptic celestial event, likely an approaching black hole.
It also shows everyone's favorite character, Hiro Nakamura, who, incidentally, got his none-too-subtle name because the creators thought his arc was most distinctly a "hero's quest." He seems to be in a later, more cynical phase of his quest by the time Heroes Reborn rolls around; as we saw at San Diego Comic Con, the above clip sees him cut off a man's arm in order to save another character from the original series, Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy).
Heroes Reborn also stars Zachary Levi, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, and Rya Kihlstedt as new characters in the Heroes universe, and also sees the return of Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet aka HRG, Noah Gray-Cabey as Micah Sanders, Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian, and Cristine Rose as Angela Petrelli. It is billed as a 13-episode miniseries, and will debut with a two-hour premiere on September 24.
