Donnie Yen Reveals New Trooper Helmet Designs for Star Wars: Rogue One
There's a lot of excitement over the fact that action and martial arts master Donnie Yen is playing a big role in Star Wars: Rogue One. The addition of the Chinese actor to the Rogue One cast was, quite rightly, lauded by fans of Star Wars, Martial Arts, and people who appreciate good cinema in general. And while we may have over a year to wait before we get to see him in action the Chinese actor, who is best known for his role in the 'IP Man' series, has already started getting us hyped for the second movie in this new wave of Star Wars storytelling.

Earlier today, Yen shared an image of three new Imperial Trooper helmet designs, and if you're a fan of the Star Wars franchise, seeing the helmets will probably make your Monday morning seem a little more bearable.

While these are all great in their own way, the one on the right has definitely piqued our interest the most. Whereas the first two look a bit more familiar (we're thinking TIE Pilot and Regular Stormtrooper), the one on the right looks to be a completely new concept. Add to that the red logo stamped on its visor, and we could be forgiven for thinking that this isn't even an Imperial helmet and is instead a bit of kit worn by the Rebel fighters who are set to steal the Death Star plans.

Adding more mysticism to the Instagram post is Yen's quotation of "I am the force and I fear nothing". Had we not known better we would have assumed that Yen was hinting at his character's force sensitivity, but director Gareth Edwards has already stated that in Rogue One, "absence of Jedi is omnipresent". Of course that does only rule out fully-fledged Jedi, so there is always a chance that Yen's character could have some form of attachment to the force.

What do you think of the new designs? Let us know in the box below.
