Wonder Woman Starts Filming in November, May Be Set During World War 1
There are now just 6 or so months before Gal Gadot takes to our screens as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but for Diana Prince fans everywhere, the most exciting prospect is that of her solo movie, which is set to be released on June 23rd. When Wonder Woman hits theaters, it will be the first female-led superhero movie we've seen since Elektra in 2005, and expectations are understandably quite high.

Speaking at the Geena Davis Institute, Wonder Woman producer Deborah Snyder revealed that the final preparations for the project, which included the hiring of as many female crew members as possible, have now been completed and the Wonder Woman movie will start filming in November.

Opening quote
We still wanted a female director and we found Patty Jenkins, who had the right vision and the same vision that we had for the character. We're really happy that we're going to be going into production in November, it's been a really great process. We've tried to hire as many female members of the crew as possible.
Closing quote

Not too much is known about the plot of the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, but rumors abounded this week that the movie would be split between two very different time periods. According to prolific rumor mongers, Heroic Hollywood, Wonder Woman will be divided equally between a World War 1 setting and the modern day. While no real grounds for the rumor are given, it isn't too different from that of the earlier rumors which suggested Wonder Woman would see certain scenes shot during the 1920's and a World War 2 setting.

Hopefully with production getting underway in a little under two months we'll start to hear some details from Patty Jenkins project, because it really is one of the most exciting comic book movie prospects out there right now, and we can't wait to see what direction she takes it in.
