All Six Star Wars Movies Rumored to Be Coming to Netflix
< >
Will we be able to add Empire Strikes Back to our streaming list soon? Evidence is mounting that all six Star Wars movies may be coming to Netflix. It's still just a rumor, but if it turns out to be true, Netflix will be the first service to stream the films without an additional fee.

Exstreamist reports that there is credence to these rumors, as they unearthed Netflix landing pages for all six Star Wars films. Here's the screenshot for The Empire Strikes Back, and it's clear that it's not a DVD page, but it's not clear exactly what it is:

Star Wars Movies May Be Coming to Netflix

I couldn't find this page with a simple search, although I wouldn't really expect to be able to, since Exstreamist said they found each of the six landing pages "when searching deep under the top layer of Netflix's library for Star Wars titles." But still, consider this rumor completely uncorroborated. There's a chance that this could be a technical glitch as they're preparing for Star Wars to come to Netflix, similar to Jessica Jones's episode titles leaking prematurely, but we might not want to get our hopes too high just yet.

This rumor comes on the heals of Netflix cutting ties with EPIX, and losing many prominent movie titles in the process. Most likely, Netflix felt safe to do this because they're generally better known for their television selection (let's be real, half of Netflix's movies don't even look like real movies), but there's also a chance that they are looking to re-brand themselves with more prestigious movie titles, like Star Wars. We'll just have to wait and see.
