Marvel Fan Builds a Real-Life Mjolnir that Only He Can Lift

"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor," say the Marvel gods (although that's since been updated to he/she), so only Thor has ever been able to lift the mighty Mjolnir hammer. Now, Marvel superfan Sufficiently Advanced has created a real-life Mjolnir, a hammer that's virtually impossible to lift for anyone aside from the "worthy" maker.

The mechanism consists of a system of powerful magnets that can be deactivated by a thumbprint scanner on the hammer, so only the creator can lift it when it's lying on a metal plate (or a sewer grate, as the case may be). In the video, many attempt to lift it, big and small, but no one proves themselves worthy.

Until the end of the video, that is, when someone quickly figures out that magnetism is at work and figures out a hilariously simple solution.
