The Most Spectacular Pictures of Last Night's Supermoon
Early this morning, the so-called "supermoon," the Moon's closest approach to Earth since 1948, reached its peak. The Earth's satellite appeared 7% larger and 15% brighter than usual, and gave skywatchers on Earth a spectacular view, one that we won't see again until 2034. But the supermoon will be nearly as bright tonight, so if you missed your chance this morning, check out these tips for viewing it from your backyard.
