SpaceX To Carry Out Lanches At New Mexico Spaceport
SpaceX has signed a 3 year lease at the New Mexico spaceport to test it's Grasshopper reusable rocket. The spaceport, which counts Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic among it's client book, will now add arguably the biggest name in commercial space to it's list of tenants.
SpaceX hope that testing of it's Grasshopper rocket, seen here, will lead to a future in which rockets can be reused after missions instead of burning up in the Earth's atmosphere.
The move from Grasshopper's current home in McGregor, Texas, was driven by a need for testing the rocket's vertical landing capabilities from higher altitudes.
