NASA Just Revealed a Mars Rover That Looks Like The Batmobile
The Batmobile. Obviously.
This impressive concept car, designed for ferrying astronauts around on the surface of the Red Planet, has been designed by a tech company called Parker Brothers Concepts as part of a NASA program, Summer of Mars, which aims to get people more interested in the possibility of traveling to another planet. Considering that everyone already thinks that space travel is ridiculously cool, NASA really had their work cut out for them on this one, but delivering a functioning Batmobile that's masquerading as a Martian prototype is certainly one way to exceed expectations.

Now that humanity's perfected the wheels, all we need is an actual expedition to drive it on. This, of course, is the harder part. Getting people excited about going to Mars is a piece of cake compared with actually getting people there. But with the Summer of Mars event working to engage youth and encourage them to follow a career in science and engineering, who knows? Maybe, somewhere out there, the future Martian Batman is daydreaming about their opportunity to drive this thing through red sand, and will stop at nothing to see their dream come true.
