UFO Spotted 'Dogfighting' 2 Fighter Jets Over Area 51
Area 51: the biggest conspiracy magnet in the world, apart from the grave of Jimmy Hoffa and a certain grassy knoll in Texas. Officially acknowledged in 2013, the base was the site of several top-secret projects, including the U-2 spy plane and Operation OXCART, as well as ground zero for the 1947 Roswell Incident. Now a pair of UFO hunters says they've spotted two fighter jets dogfighting with a UFO over the base.
Tim Doyle and Tracey Sue, the two-person operation known as the UFO Seekers, camped out 12 miles from Area 51 with drones and cameras, hoping to spot something. Eventually, they did: two jets flying overhead, along with a small, triangular object.
They were able to get a few photographs, which were included in a video posted by the channel Third Phase of Moon:
According to the narration:
"Tracy noticed a couple of jet fighters dog fighting, so she popped off a couple pictures. It wasn't until we got back home when we started reviewing the pictures that we noticed a third object. What in the world is this? It looks like some kind of triangular unmanned drone. Because it's definitely too small to have a person inside of it and after reviewing the pictures, it definitely looks as though the three crafts are interacting with each other. It's like a three-plane dogfight."
Despite the spooky X-Files music and the slow pans over the photos, the video doesn't come out and say "This is a UFO!" probably because it is an unmanned drone. But hey, that's not as much fun as heavily implying you caught an aerial battle with a UFO.
In fact, if you swapped out the Nevada desert for a creepy old house, the rest of the video would be pretty much the same as an episode of Ghost Hunters, down to the night-vision filters and dubious claims of witnessing something supernatural. As for the footage of Area 51 from afar, you can already check out satellite photos of the base from Google Earth, or look over the maps of the place released in 2013.
The truth is out there—a lot of it's already been declassified.
