A recent video posted by UFO-hunting YouTuber Secureteam10 shows a compelling photograph of a triangular UFO at the exact moment it flies into a lightning bolt. The picture was originally captured by an Instagrammer using the handle "MrsLampshade" before going viral via the YouTube video on May 5th, 2018. It has since garnered some 375,000 views. Although video narrator Tyler Glockner gives the location of the sighting as somewhere in the Czech Republic, the Instagram photo (which is now private) indicates that it was either taken or posted from Petrcane, Zagrebačka, Croatia. Glockner's narration suggests that the object may have been "siphoning energy" from the electrical discharge.

The video comes during what seems to be a surge in interest in UFOs, alien technologies, and extraterrestrial life. In the midst of this sighting, a study from a German observatory suggests that alien flight technology on Super-Earths – huge planets with over 10 times the mass of Earth – would require massive rockets using alternatives to chemical fuel to escape their exponentially greater gravitational forces, thus making the likelihood of seeing such spacecraft exceptionally unlikely, at least from a human perspective. Other experts, including former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo, disagree, stating that not only does extraterrestrial life exist, some alien spacecraft have already visited Earth, and some possess technology that can warp space-time

Secureteam10 and other UFO-hunting channels may have their eyes on their wallets as well as the skies, however. Glockner's YouTube channel has come under criticism by both skeptics and other self-described UFOlogists. According to website UFO Theater – whose masthead tagline states "The Truth Is Complicated" – Glockner is a "hoax" using "made-up scenarios" to fleece an unsuspecting audience of over 1.5 million subscribers. According to Social Blade, an analytics site, Secureteam10, which describes itself as "the #1 channel for breaking reports on the many mysteries of our universe," makes anywhere from $3,000-$60,000 monthly, in addition to whatever income derived from a Patreon site and t-shirt sales. While none of this suggests that Glockner's intentions are less than sincere, they do provide some context and possible motivation for the sheer volume of content he produces: he has amassed over 420 million views since 2011.

Here is the video for your consideration.
