It was really only a matter of time before a daring capitalist seized the opportunity to cash in on the growing popularity of sex robots and virtual reality to take the first steps towards going full Westworld, or at the very least the Holodeck. That's what's going on in the Alien Cathouse (NSFW), a legal, extraterrestrial-themed brothel in Amargosa Valley, northwest of Las Vegas, that has just added its first robotic sex "worker" to its roster of courtesans. The brothel is also offering a new array of advanced options made possible by teledildonic technology – haptic sex toys that can be controlled remotely by a worker as part of a VR experience – in an effort to reach clients outside of Nevada.

Rod Thompson, an Alien Cathouse spokesperson, discussed the move into the digisexual landscape with the Daily Star tabloid. "For clients that have certain… fetishes that courtesans might not be interested in," Thompson explained, "the robot could fulfill those." As far as we know, the sex robot will be in the form of a humanoid.

The virtual options would allow clients unable to get to Nevada a chance to indulge their fantasies remotely.  "Alien Cathouse [is geared towards those] seeking to fulfill a sexual fantasy with a porn star," Thompson said, "and we are in talks with teledildonics manufacturers in regard to having each of our suites outfitted to accommodate this technology." Moreover, the VR option could also help courtesans not only reach new customers, but maintain relationships with longtime or repeat clients. "Some of the ladies are very excited about this," Thompson told the Star, "because they say it gives them an opportunity to give men, women or couples that chance to experience an encounter with a real courtesan at a brothel they might not normally, because of time and or distance be able to actually physically visit."

The brothel's human workers seemed receptive to the addition of robotic colleagues and the opportunities created by incorporating new technology. In an interview with the Star, Stella Renée, described on the site as a "voluptuous, sensual Dominatrix type with a charming disposition," embraced the move as progressive. "As an honest-to-goodness, flesh-and-blood, Cougar-ific Cuddle Queen," Renée told the Star, "I am very excited about the addition of sex-bot playtime and remote interaction options at the brothel." Her colleague Lisa Grace expressed what amounted to indifference. "I'm not really bothered by it," Grace said. "Sex toys have been around for centuries. Most customers come in for the human interaction. I often hear that the best part is the cuddling after the sex."

Although the make and model of the sex robot is being kept under wraps, Thompson said that rates would be similar to those charged by Alien Cathouse's human workers, who set their own prices and split the money 50/50 with the brothel.

In addition to being open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Alien Cathouse also features a restaurant, gas station, and gift shop.
