Little Giants Kickstarter Makes Action Figures out of Our Geeky Heroes
< >
Action figuress are often reserved for those characters who are able to wield an axe, fire a rocket or lift a truck. But what about the real life heroes who have strived to make the world a better place? Enter a new kickstarter that, if it reaches its funding goal, will see geeky heroes such as Nikola Tesla and Sigmund Freud become the subject of a new action figure line for those that appreciate brains more than brawn.

Little Giants creator Jason Feinberg had an admirable goal in mind when he set about creating these tiny tributes, to honor his heroes and hopefully inspire children in the process.

Opening quote
Several years ago I set out on a journey... My goal was to create a line of action figures based on the heroes of my adult life; people like Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla, whose lives inspire me to this very day.

The idea was simple enough. What would happen if we introduced kids to these characters - and the ideas they represent - early on in life? We all know that kids emulate the characters they adore, so what if we expose them to the people who symbolize our highest ideals?

It won't turn them into geniuses overnight but hopefully it will open the door for us to introduce young kids to amazing concepts like Gandhi's non-violence, Einstein's creative genius, Freud's introspection, Tesla's boundless determination and Warhol's self-expression.
Closing quote

As Freinberg hinted in the quote above, the Little Giants collection run the gamut from scientific genius to artistic legend. Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, and Sigmund Freud represent the scientific side while Mahatma Gandhi and Andy Warhol ensure that when it comes to the Little Giants, there's something for everyone.

At the time of writing, the Little Giants Kickstarter had secured over $7,000 of its $10,000 goal, so might we suggest you get over there and secure your intellectual heroes....right away?
